Dr. Dianna DiToro

Dr. Dianna DiToro is a distinguished leader, senior advisor, and Marine Corps Commanding Officer with over two decades of military and civilian service at the intersection of national defense, space operations, and strategic policy development. A dynamic and mission-focused professional, she has held command and senior staff positions across the globe and currently serves as Commanding Officer of Marine Air Control Squadron 24 (MACS-24), where she leads providing critical air surveillance and missile defense coordination.

A seasoned expert in joint and multinational operations, Dr. DiToro served as the first Director and later Deputy Director of the U.S. Space Command’s Joint Integrated Space Team (JIST) to U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), shaping the role of space capabilities in support of operations across the continent. Her visionary leadership in this role earned recognition for advancing the integration of emerging domains into traditional military strategy.

In the civilian sector, Dr. DiToro serves as Senior Advisor to the International Affairs Strategy and Plans Division at Space Systems Command (SSC/IA), where she strengthens global partnerships and contributes to the strategic posture of U.S. space operations.

She was competitively selected to serve on the Marine Corps Reserve Policy Board, where she advises on and proposes critical changes to Department of Defense and Department of the Navy policies affecting the Reserve Component. Her additional leadership roles include serving as Treasurer for the USMC Reserve Leadership Collective, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentorship and development of Marine Corps Reservists.

Earlier in her career, Dr. DiToro served in key operational planning and liaison roles at U.S. European Command, Headquarters Marine Corps, and in combat operations during two tours in Iraq, where she directed aviation traffic and support in high-stakes environments. She has also been a physical therapist and educator in orthopedic and pelvic health rehabilitation, founding her own private practice and presenting on mobility and performance.

Dr. DiToro holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and is a graduate of the U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College, where she was one of five Reservists selected from a class of over 220 for the full-length in-residence program. She maintains an active TS/SCI clearance and is known for her adaptive leadership, cross-functional team expertise, and commitment to service.
