Gary Lawson is a multidisciplinary leader with over two decades of experience spanning investment banking, private equity, defense innovation, and military service. A former Captain and Infantry Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, he transitioned to high-level roles in finance at firms including Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, and Macquarie Group, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions. He later held executive leadership positions, including CFO and General Counsel at FlexGen, and Chief Restructuring & Growth Officer at Nuru International.

 

Gary co-founded a stealth mode startup before becoming Head of Advisory at ACME General Corp., where he supports national security innovation. He currently serves as an advisory board member at Clearspeed. His unique blend of operational, financial, and advisory experience continues to drive impact across sectors critical to national security and technological advancement.

Gary Lawson holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, both earned concurrently from 2002 to 2006. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy in 1997.
